Marquee

The following three “notes” explain what determines a Marquee Image. (Marquee Images may appear in other chapters.) 

Number 1:  Photos that have been particularly popular with viewers and collectors.

Number 2:  Photos that are of historic value but also have an aesthetic appeal. For instance the “African Queen” photo taken at the New Orleans Worlds Fair 1984.

Number 3: Photos that I, John Slaughter, feel elicit a heightened emotional response. “Shadowsaurus” is an example.
